The first Crysis might’ve been the standard bearer for the PC Master Race until now, but it looks like the game might been playing for both sides sometime soon.
A South Korean ratings filing for an Xbox version of the game turned up over the weekend, and an EA Korea representative has reportedly confirmed the console version to local gaming site, Irven, adding that its launch date is not yet determined.
An ESRB rating for Xbox and PS3 versions of the game has subsequently been added to the existing PC version, although the Crysis Warhead expansion / spinoff remains a PC exclusive (for now, anyway).
While it’s officially assigned a rumour status for the moment, it’s doesn’t seem at all unlikely that Crytek might be working on this. The company’s CEO, Cevat Yerli, has been pretty vocal (and, inevitably, controversial) in the past about moving its focus away from PC exclusivity, and into console development.
