Battlefield 3 "Battlelog" images appear

15 July 2011

Respected Battlefield 3 fan-site, Battlefielddo has somehow gotten a hold of some juicy Battlefield 3 Battlelog screen shots.

Battlelog is DICE’s response to Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty Elite service, which will offer various free and paid-for services.

Battlefielddo claims that the screenshots were published on the German Battlefield site, but have since been taken down. EA has not confirmed the legitimacy of the images, so we can’t consider these official just yet. Having said that, Battlefielddo is a respected and trustworthy source of Battlfield 3 information.

From what we can gather, Battlelog will allow players to add other Battlefield 3 players as friends, view and track stats, organise events and chat.

In the meantime, Activision has been sending out beta invites for its Call of Duty Elite service, which will launch with Modern Warfare 3 later this year.

While it is being billed as a free service, it will include premium features which players will have to pay a month fee to access. Battlelog, on the other hand, will ship with Battlefield 3 and be completely free to use.

Battlefield 3 is being release locally on 28 October, 2011, and will be available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
