Capcom has officially announced that its HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica are launching on 20 and 27 September respectively. Both games will be released over the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network, although there are also rumours of a disc-based bundle release.
Pricing has yet to be confirmed, although I’d expect these tagged around 1600 MSP / $20 each, at least if not more.
In related news, Capcom is apparently prepping to reveal Resident Evil 6 at the Tokyo Game Show, also in September. That’s according to somebody over on the Hell Descent forums, who covertly snapped evidence during an invite-only presser at Comic Con last week. Looks legit.
Capcom producer Masachika Kawata said back in April that “The series will see a complete renovation with the next entry on every level. But we can’t forget about all the previous entries that have led to the creation of many possibilities for the franchise.”
In the meantime, there’s also Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, due out sometime this year.
