Last week Nintendo announced that it will be implementing a global price cut on the Nintendo 3DS. The price of the console in the US is being hacked from $249.99 (R1740) to $169.99 (R1190), and similar reductions are expected in Europe and Asia.
Today Nintendo has confirmed that the recommended retail price of the 3DS in South Africa will fall from a rather prohibitive R2,799 to a far more palatable R1,899.
The announcement was published on the official Nintendo website.
