Hold onto your hairspray and spandex, everybody – Rock Band is getting a big hit of the 80’s rock scene next week with a Def Leppard DLC song pack.
I’ve been waiting four years to write this article, and it’s finally happening. Sniff. I’ve totally just switched to my Def Leppard playlist in honour of what will surely go down as one of the greatest moments in rock history. Or at least the rock history version for people who pretend to play on wee plastic instruments.
The DLC features six tracks, including:
• Def Leppard – “Animal (Live)”
• Def Leppard – “Bringin’ On the Heartbreak”
• Def Leppard – “Photograph” X
• Def Leppard – “Pour Some Sugar on Me (Live)”
• Def Leppard – “Rock of Ages”
• Def Leppard – “Undefeated”
The band is also collaborating with Harmonix to create additional Pro Guitar and Pro Bass versions for the collection, which can be upgraded for a nominal fee.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this Rock Band 6-pack release. It’s almost like releasing a new album. We’re psyched to be out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii,” said Phil Collen, guitarist for Def Leppard.
The DLC is out on 9 August 2011 for PS3, Xbox, and Wii. Pricing is as follows:
• $9.99, £4.99 UK, €7.99 EU (800 Microsoft Points, 1000 Wii Points) for the whole bundle
• $1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per song
• $2.00 USD (200 Wii Points) per song
• $0.99 USD (100 Wii Points/80 Microsoft Points), £0.59 UK, €0.79 EU per song for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade
