Skyrim demo sends pregnant woman into labour

7 August 2011

Self-confessed hardcore gaming fans Chaz and Stevi were at Quakecon 2011 with the intention of tying the knot, having been engaged at Quakecon 2010.  During the 2011 Quakecon event, Bethesda game director Todd Howard took to the stage to deliver a 40 minute presentation on The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (link below).

During the presentation, right about the moment that a Frost Dragon was being shown off, 9-month pregnant Stevi could barely contain her excitement, let alone her unborn child. “During the demo Todd Howard showed off the Frost Dragon. This is what started the whole thing, seeing this must have filled Stevi with so much excitement that it sent her into labor,” explained Chaz.

Chaz described how they initially though it might be a false labour, and because they didn’t want to miss a moment of the presentation, Stevi toughed it out because in the words of Chaz, Stevi “is a trooper and loves Skyrim.”

After the presentation the pair rushed to the hospital and a healthy baby girl was brought into the world. That girl is named Atari Lynn.
