Oh, here’s one to get that nostalgia going – Gamigo’s dropped a trailer for its Jagged Alliance Online MMOG, ahead of the game’s big reveal at Gamescom later this week.
Much like its franchise predecessors, Jagged Alliance Online is an isometric, squad-based tactical game, featuring a combination of real-time and turn-based combat. This time around, however, it’s browser-based, and supports co-op and player-vs-player engagement. Rock and roll.
The trailer doesn’t show very much in the way of actual gameplay, but what’s there looks pretty authentically Jagged Alliancey. As Peter “Wolf” Saunders might say, “OOOOOH, GOTTA LOVE IT!”
The game was first announced at Gamescom 2010, and is due to launch later this year.
Oh, and while we’re on the subject of Jagged Alliance, this one shouldn’t be confused with bitComposer Games’ Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, a remake of Jagged Alliance 2 that’s also currently in development and scheduled for a PC release sometime in the first quarter of next year.
