Do you really need another reason to love Supergiant’s already totally lovable Bastion? Not really, I’m sure, but I’ve got one for you anyway – the game now features 100% more Portal turrets, which experts agree is also a 100% improvement. When it comes to being awesome, it seems Bastion knows no bounds.
The turrets were apparently added in a Steam game update sometime over the weekend, to the enormous delight of everybody, ever. They’re available in New Game Plus mode as a new Gel Cannister Secret Skill, described as “a viscous substance of unknown origin”, and found in the Bastion’s Arsenal. Using it deploys a laser turret nearby. Fortunately enough, it’s not one of those defective ones but don’t get too complacent now – it’s probably part of some mad Aperture Science scheme.
For the moment, or maybe forever, the turrets are exclusive to the PC version of Bastion.
