South African distributor Megarom announced today (24 August 2011) that Tru Blu Entertainment’s Rugby Challenge for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be hitting SA retail shelves on 8 September. New Zealand and Austalia can expect the game on 2 September. The rest of the world will have to wait for a more concrete date sometime in Q3.
It has been revealed that the game will also be releasing on PC via Steam. No specific date has been given, but it’s slated for some time in September as well.
“The anticipation for Rugby Challenge has reached fever pitch, and we are excited to finally announce a release date” said Sebastian Giompaolo, Managing Director for Tru Blu Entertainment. “We look forward to delivering the game into the hands of eager fans across all major markets”.

Rugby Challenge, developed by Sidhe, will also be available for the upcoming PS Vita platform at a later date.
