South African distributor of Nintendo products, Core Group, has announced that the revamped Wii bundle will be hitting South African stores in spring 2011.

The new bundle carries the current Wii bundle’s recommended retail price of R1,599. It includes a newly configured Wii console in white – the reconfigured Wii console has been designed to sit horizontally. The console comes with a Wii Remote Plus controller and a Nunchuk.

The bundle also includes Wii Sports and Wii Party. Wii Party boasts more than 80 group-play mini-games, with support for up to four Wii Remote controllers. Wii Sports offers five sports games using motion control: Tennis; Baseball; Golf; Bowling; and Boxing.

Core revealed that more Wii bundles are set to be announced during the build up to the holiday shopping season.
