Is it possible to feel all nostalgic about something that never actually happened? These T-shirts from High Score Society – featuring 16-bit versions of Isaac Clarke, Master Chief, some anonymous guy from Killzone, a Big Daddy, and Marcus Fenix – say “yes”.
Man, I can almost remember that Battle Toads spin-off with Master Chief. Almost.
The artwork was created by pixel wizard, Michael Myers, who has previously wooed the entire internet with these adorable old school versions of Star Wars characters and comic book heroes printed on posters.
At the time of writing this, High Score Society’s website is refusing to load properly in my browser, presumably because every single person on Reddit is hitting it, the t-shirts are going at US$24 each.
One Gears of War t-shirt for me, please. Or it would be, if they actually made girl-style skinny tee versions of these. Memo to the gaming merchandise world – we’re not all 300kg dudes.
