iGame confirms official EA Battlefield 3 ranked servers for SA

8 September 2011

iGame has announced that they will be hosting official EA ranked servers for Battlefield 3, with community beta testing participation to begin in the near future.

As part of the Ranked Server Provider (RSP) program, iGame has the opportunity to provide the South African gaming community with servers as well as support in matters concerning the title and related online activities.

In addition to hosting servers, iGame is in the process of finalizing a launch tournament that will run from day one of the game’s release, currently scheduled for 28 October 2011.

“Battlefield 3 is a title that has generated a lot of interest in the local community; we look forward to participation in the RSP program and believe that the title will be a great success in terms of online support from individuals and clans,” said Jonathin Smit, iGame Online Manager.

“We will be beta testing the title along with other RSP’s and public players from the start of the initial beta testing period, and will invite specific community members to join us during this phase, providing them with beta keys and access to the iGame servers,” said Smit.

“This includes members from MyGaming and the iGame Online forums, as well as the SS clan that have shown support for iGame,” said Smit.

iGame can confirm that they will host 64-player servers for Battlefield 3. Server names have not been finalized at this time.

“We will be hosting large format 64 player servers or Battlefield 3. I have not yet decided on names for them, but any suggestions that we receive from the community will be considered,” said Smit.
