The super-mysterious “Codename D” Kinect-powered project from Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture has been officially outed as “Diabolical Pitch” over at the Tokyo Game Show.
It’s some kind of twisted baseball game. You know, with a “diabolical pitch”. Oh, you crazy Japanese and your funny puns.
According to a report over on Gamespot, you’ll be chucking baseballs at animal mascots, as well as “catching, ducking, jumping, kicking, and swinging a virtual bat”.
I’m pretty sure most of that stuff isn’t endorsed by the Major Leagues, but then again, the Major Leagues have probably never had to deal with a full-scale animal mascot rebellion.
Nothing much else has been announced about it just yet, although it’s apparently expected to launch next year, and supports two players.
Check out the game in action in the video below. And by “check out the game action”, I mean “check out these two guys looking a bit silly”.
