Telkom Do Gaming confirms Battlefield 3 servers

Telkom SAIX Gaming Services (SGS) will be launching Battlefield 3 beta servers before the rAge 2011 expo kicks off.

The Battlefield 3 beta will go live on 27 September, two days ahead of the public open beta launch on 29 September. Telkom Do Gaming has 90 beta keys to give away, granting entry into the early access period.

Server details will be posted on the SGS website.

Those who pre-order Battlefield 3 via EA’s Origin service will get also get early access to the beta if they do so before 25 September.

Gamers who don’t get the chance to play the beta before the rAge 2011 expo, being held in Johannesburg at the Coca-Cola Dome from 30 September to 2 October, can head to the Telkom stand as well as the EA stand to get some hands-on time with the title.

Over twenty Dell Alienware PC’s will be powering the game at the Telkom stand, giving plenty of gamers a chance to see what the game is all about with adequate gaming power under the hood.

The beta and preview code at rAge are a precursor to the game’s launch on 25 October for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Telkom Do Gaming will have Battlefield 3 servers up and running on SGS when the game launches and will be running short competitions ahead of the 2012 Telkom Do Gaming Online League, where a R50,000 prize pool has already allocated to the DGL 2012 Battlefield 3 Championships.
