Anyone who has grown up playing games has a healthy selection of fond memories playing one or other games in the Worms franchise.
The quick-tongued expendable invertebrates have been creatively offing each other on our screens for over 16 years.
The series has had its magic somewhat diluted over the years with a bit of franchise over-exploitation, as including some more mediocre offerings.
However the newest entrant, Worms Ultimate Mayhem, has gotten a release date for Xbox and PC, and will be ninja-roping its way onto your system come 28th September. The PS3 version is a little late to the genocide, coming “later in 2011”.
The game will retail for 1200 Microsoft Points (around R130) on Xbox Live Arcade and about R140 on Steam.
All around a pretty good deal, despite the game being kind of a mash-up between Worms 3D and Worms 4, but for your money you’re getting a good haul of new content.
