According to Spanish website Juegosdb, Ubisoft revealed at Gamefest 2011 some vital details about yet to be announced Assassin’s Creed 3.
The post has since been removed, which suggests that the information was probably revealed under a non-disclosure agreement and Juegosdb was forced to retract it.
However, Neogaf forumites managed to copy paste the article in time.
According to the site, Assassin’s Creed 3 will be on display at E3 2012, before being released in time for Christmas.
Ubisoft would not provide any details about the game itself, saying they “still can not reveal anything, but it is true that the Internet are very close to where Assassin’s Creed III will pass.”
“As we approach the date of 2012, the franchise is nearing the end of his greatest work,” said Ubisoft creative director Alexander Amancio.
“Let’s close all the story arcs that have been open and we have left in the air, and we will reveal not only much material on the argument of the first civilization, but we will also conclude the stories of Ezio and Altair “he said. “We will explain why Ezio is such an important character for the franchise, and what is its role in everything that happens in the game besides the Altair and Desmond.”
While this remains unconfirmed, it would come as a surprise if Ubisoft did not announce Assassin’s Creed 3 sometime next year.
In the meantime, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is due out in November 2011.
