Two South African gamers are going to be making their way to Andong, South Korea for the International e-Sports Federation (IeSF) World Championship happening on the 6th to 10th October.
The team MSSA are sending over officially received their Protea Colours at a ceremony on Monday (3 October 2011), and are ready to kick some ass over in South Korea.
Ian Pillay is going to represent SA playing FIFA Online, and Robert Botha, winner in the local PolarFluke StarCraft II gaming league will be representing MSSA and South Africa for StarCraft II.
The inclusion of a StarCraft II player comes from a recent partnership the MSSA forged with PolarFluke, where the top four percent of players in the tournament qualified to take part in national trials.
Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) has been participating in the IeSF events since the inception of the federation in 2008.
“The South African team has not only always held its own, but has always been able to forge strong friendships among the international players” said the MSSA.
