Beat Hazard coming to MacOS, iOS

6 October 2011

Music and gaming fans rejoice! Awesomely awesome, musically-driven Shoot ’em Up , Beat Hazard Ultra, is coming to a Mac, iPhone or iPad near you (presumably on your lap/in your hand).

Beat Hazard takes your songs and analyses them to create unique levels that flow according to the beat and tempo of the music; driving the game forwards in unique ways, and creating some pretty intense moments (depending on the music you chose) for shooty-shooty action.

The flashy effects are also vomit-inducingly mesmerizing.

No, seriously, you might vomit – watch out.

In these ported Apple-centric versions, the game will interact directly with iTunes on your iPhone or iPad to generate its levels.

With a massive new audience to reach on Mac – and especially through Apple’s iStore – it’s looking to be great success all-round.

We certainly loved the game, and now loads more people will get to as well – and that can only be a good thing, right?

Check out some Beat Hazard goodness below.
