Transformers has been bobbing in and out of relevancy over the past few years, with much of its recent limelight credited to Michael Bay’s films which made everyone’s eyes explode.
Between the ups and downs of the cinematic reception, High Noon Studios released a little game called Transformers: War For Cybertron.
You may have heard of it; it was pretty good.
Coming in 2012 though, we’re going to venture back to Cybertron, and experience the final hours of the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons as their battle intensifies, and they face…wait for it…Dun dun dunnnn!
THE FALL OF CYBERTRON!
(The clue was in the name)
Details for the game remain “exclusively” held by Gameinformer, much to the annoyance of the internet, and indeed, the entire universe.

Holding the Hasbro licence, and the promise of improving the game based on fan feedback, we remain reservedly optimistic about this one.
Let’s face it, it doesn’t have Megan Fox (or lingerie model replacements) in it, so it’s already a winner in my eyes.
Check out another Gameinformer cover.
