Plugging into the middle-aged nostalgia of balding men everywhere, Replay Games and Leisure Suit Larry creator Al Lowe are planning to revive the sex-crazed, ill-lucked bachelor in glorious HD.

Lowe spoke to Venturebeat, talking about how he wanted to bring back the series and make it funny again – unlike the recent titles, which were simply crap.

“I watched the franchise dissipate and get watered down,” Lowe told Venturebeat. “It was not fun to watch. One of them thought it was all about creating basketball breasts. That wasn’t it at all. Paul said he would get the rights and I wanted to redeem my creation.”

I am not ashamed to admit that I am excited for this – after all, Leisure Suit Larry taught me how to spell, and how to deal with girls.
