I bet the Microsoft execs who were pointing at Sony and sniggering* when PSN and SOE accounts were broken into earlier this week are blushing right about now.
Reports have come in to Eurogamer, claiming that a few Xbox LIVE accounts were hacked into and used to purchase FIFA Ultimate Team content packs for FIFA 12.
Eurogamer forumite, “Speedjack” discovered over 5000 Microsoft Points had been added to his account, and then spent entirely on FIFA content.
“Not only that, but my account now has 35 FIFA 12 achievement points on it! [I have] never played the game in my life,” he said.
He doesn’t even like football, apparently.

Similar reports of unsolicited access and purchase of FIFA goods popped up on other blogs and websites as well.
While it’s hardly a wide-spread issue, Microsoft as well as EA are advising users to be vigilant and protect their accounts, as well as reporting any hacker activity on their accounts to the various support services.
Microsoft have frozen the affected accounts for 30 days while they investigate the hacks.
Nintendo’s Virtual Console is next up for a hacking scandal, so watch this space.
