A vigilante anti-piracy advocate has gone rogue and released a booby trapped version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution to torrent networks.
His name is James Grimshaw, and he took a preview build of the game which was leaked in May and modified it to look like the final release.
After the first three levels into this version of the game, it shuts down and redirects players to an online questionnaire.
The questionnaire asks questions such as “Why do you illegally download?”, “What Torrent sites do you use for the downloading of PC Games?”, and “Do you think DRM systems work?”
He has also published some findings based on the data gathered from the questionnaire, claiming that “The vast majority of answers stated clearly they would purchase the game, but it was too expensive.”
