The only reason anybody signs up with the Spectres is the cool guns (okay, and the free spaceship), but now you can avoid ten years of military deployment in the ass-end of Kepler Verge entirely – Bioware has added the M-8 Avenger Assault Rifle to its online store.
Well, technically it’s a replica, but there’s nothing stopping you from running around your local shopping mall with it and shouting “PEW PEW PEW”.
According to the store entry, the $650, 9kg, 86cm polystone replica is “most authentic representation of this weapon available on the market”, and will be shipping out in a very limited quantity of only 500 units sometime in the first quarter of 2012.
The entry also notes that “Due to the nature of this item, international shipments could be confiscated by your Customs Agency and cannot be refunded”, and recommends caution before buying.
So better call up your local customs office and check what their policy about fake guns is.
