Call of Duty Elite Premium not available in SA at launch

Activision has issued a statement updating SA gamers on the extent to which they will be able to enjoy the subscription services offered by Call of Duty Elite, which is to accompany the launch of Modern Warfare 3 on 8 November 2011.

“Many of you have had the opportunity to be part of the ELITE beta and are already aware of the innovative and free features that ELITE will offer to Call of Duty players. It’s important to note that all elements of the free service will be available to players in South Africa at launch, representing an incredibly valuable experience for fans and reflecting Activision’s ongoing commitment to the Call of Duty community,” stated Activision.

Activision has issued the following information.

•    The full on-disc experience of Modern Warfare 3, including the Campaign, Special Ops and Multiplayer modes will be available at launch in South Africa – where players will get the entire experience from day 1. 
•    Elite (Free) will be available for consumers to access from launch in South Africa – supported languages at launch are English, French and German.
•    Elite Premium service will not be available to South African users at launch.

“For further clarity and information on the unprecedented level of features available to South African players at launch, we encourage you to keep an eye out on www.callofduty.com/elite for updates,” said Activision.
