Before any big game release, it’s never too surprising to see it leaked copies show up on various torrent sites. This has been the case for Modern Warfare 3, in the somewhat unexciting form of a half of a Russian install.
While this kind of thing is fairly standard, what isn’t is a leaked video of an actual retail copy of the game being unboxed and loaded.
This, however, is exactly what has happened, with Modern Warfare 3 fansite and blog Charlieintel.com posting a video of what appears to be a legitimate retail copy of the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 3 being unboxed and loaded up on the video maker’s console.
While you may already be holding down your “A” key to get in an internet-worthy “FAAAAAAAKE!”, you might find it hard to argue with the part where the guy plays out the first couple of minutes of the game.
This is the real deal, and one has to wonder how Activision managed to let a perfect retail copy make it out a full ten days before release.
