Have you been having a wonderful time playing Battlefield 3 this past weekend? The servers are lagging and Battlelog and Origin are a pain in the butt? Moving swiftly along…
Are you already growing tired of the maps that shipped with the game?
Well, EA has pegged the Back to Karkand DLC for launch sometime in December. No firm date, but that’s the closest yet we’ve had to commitment since the DLC was first announced.
Back to Karkand will be the first wave in EA’s aggressive Battlefield 3 DLC assault.
Those who have purchased the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3 get free access to Back To Karkand when it launches. You may recall that PS3 gamers will be getting the map pack one week earlier thanks to a corporate bloodletting ritual between Sony and EA.

The Back to Karkand DLC features four classic Battlefield maps revamped using Battlefield 3’s Frostbite 2 engine: Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula.
The DLC also includes:
• Five new dog tags.
• Five new achievements/trophies.
• Three new vehicles (DPV, BTR-90, F-35B STOVL jet fighter).
• 10 iconic Battlefield weapons
• A new persistence system where players complete assignments to earn their rewards.
