Diablo III Standard Edition and Diablo III Collector’s Edition pricing has been provisionally confirmed for South Africa.
We spoke to SA distributor of Blizzard gaming products, Megarom, who confirmed that the current Recommended Retail Price (RRP) is R499 for the standard edition and R799 for the Collector’s Edition.
Megarom also made it clear that these prices are subject to change, as there isn’t a confirmed launch date for the game beyond the traditionally vague Blizzard launch window of probably, possibly, sometime in 2012.
Meanwhile, there is an interesting development over on Takealot.com, who is currently listing the Diablo III Collector’s Edition for R670.
At the time of writing Takealot is the only company listing the Collector’s Edition of the game. We spoke to Takealot who confirmed that the price won’t be changing.
Takealot also has the standard edition for R449.
At the time of writing, the following SA retailers are also listing the game.
Kalahari has the standard edition listed for R462.95. Kalahari previously had the Collector’s edition listed for R740.95, but it is now listed as out of stock (thanks _Caboose_).
Johannesburg based e-tailer Zaps has the standard edition going for R425.
BT Games has yet to list a price for the title on their website.
