Trendy Entertainment has announced that Dungeon Defenders has sold 200,000 PC units. In total, across the platforms of PC (Steam), XBLA, and PSN, the game has sold 250,000.
To celebrate, Trendy has announced one of its many plans to continue to support the game across all platforms, with free, weekly community events for PS3 and Xbox 360 players.
These events will allow gamers to play special game modes with the developers and have a chance to win ‘ultra-rare, unique items’ found nowhere else. Details below, in picture form.
Dungeon Defenders brings together elements of tower defense and action-RPG progression in a colourful 3D environment; spreading the four-player co-op mayhem out across 15 unique maps – 30 challenges, and four difficulty settings.
There’s plenty of loot-raiding, spell-casting, and levelling-up to be had.
Players control one of four distinct heroes – Squire, Apprentice, Huntress and Monk – in an epic bid to fight back an ancient evil. Each character comes with different functionalities, and players can create and customize an armory of weapons and equipment.
We are busy working on our review as you read this, but so far the game has secured a solid 82/100 on Metacritic.
