Cape Townies, listen up – cancel your plans, you’re coming to the 2upGamers event in Rondebosch tonight.
Okay? Exactly, I’m so glad we had this nice talk.
The event is the first in what’s expected to become a monthly thing, and – significantly – prove for once and for all that Cape Town is way better than Joburg, so suck it, flatlanders.
With that bit out of the way then, here’s the important info:
WHERE – Rondebosch Sports Club.
WHEN – Tonight, obviously. That’s 18h30 for 19h00 until “Game Over”.
HOW MUCH – R60 (first 20), R80 thereafter (includes your meal, SCORE).
WHAT’S HAPPENING – There’s going to be a bunch of guest speakers, including MWEB reps talking about local server support and competitive gaming, Kalahari.com people on gaming retail stuff, as well as the 2upGamers team and a “surprise lineup” (Although if that’s me singing Boston’s More Than A Feeling, they haven’t actually told me yet). Then lots of shoving food in our faces and playing Xbox and PS3 games and other cool things like that.
ALSO – I’m taking the Gears of War board game.
AND – There will be prize giveaways.
