Vodacom unveiled their latest Mofaya prepaid data promotion in an advertising campaign in the Sunday papers: 20GB for R499.
The “More data, More surfing, Mofaya Summer!” data promotion from Vodacom slashes the price of the company’s 20GB prepaid data bundle from R3,620 to R499. This equates to a price of 2.4c per MB.
The out of bundle rate for this prepaid data bundle is 18c per MB.
The Vodacom Mofaya advertisement reads “Stay online with a MyGig 20 once-off data bundle at just 2.4 cents per MB to use on Prepaid and Top Up. Visit your nearest Vodacom shop now to get the hottest mobile data deal!”
The Mofaya prepaid data promotion starts on Monday 7 November 2011 and ends 9 January 2012. The deal excludes a modem and the data bundle carries over until the last day of the next month.
Vodacom’s 20GB Mofaya data promotion is currently by far the cheapest prepaid data deal in South Africa, surpassing 8ta’s Go Big 2GB (+ 1GB after hours) for R149.
