Take-Two won’t confirm GTA V for 2012

10 November 2011

Take-Two Interactive’s latest financial reports include a handy little section on future project release dates, which usually gives us a good idea of when to expect what from the publisher.

It was here that we got a look into XCOM’s delay from March 2012 into the company’s 2013 fiscal year (which runs until March 2013) – but not listed at all, is Grand Theft Auto 5.

Most industry analysts were pegging Rockstar’s next big thing to a release sometime in 2012, but Take-Two remain firm that the release date is “TBA”.

The thing with “To Be Announced” is that the “announced” bit could very well be tomorrow, if the company saw fit.

Perhaps they’re playing coy and trying to feed speculation and hype – but as far as financial reports go, they’re arguably not the best platform for marketing strategies – so perhaps we might not be seeing GTA V as soon as we think.

We’ll keep you posted.
