PSP games on Vita are going to cost you…

11 November 2011

Sony has announced that it will be possible to download games that you already own for PSP to your Vita console, although you will require a “UMD Passport”.

In order to get one of these you will have to download a UMD registration application off the PlayStation Store to your PSP.

You then boot up the application in the PSP, insert the UMD you want to register, and presto, you can download your PSP game to your Vita console.

Oh, and you will have to pay between £4 and £12 per game.

Local pricing remains to be confirmed.

The UMD passport supports roughly 200 games from 40 different companies at launch, including the likes of Gran Turismo, and pricing varies from game to game.

The PlayStation Vita is expected to sell in SA for roughly R3300, and according to Kalahari.com, we can expect it to arrive in early 2012.
