Telkom Do Gaming R50k Modern Warfare 3 League incoming

11 November 2011

Telkom Do Gaming have announced their plans for a Modern Warfare 3 online league as part of the Do Gaming League (DLG) 2012 season – with a prize of R50,000 in cash, sponsored by Megarom.

Ricus Groenewald, Telkom Gaming Manager, says the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 league is scheduled to run over multiple legs on servers hosted at SGS.

The first leg will be used for seeding and gamers will battle it out in the following legs for rankings, with the top teams from the online league being invited to play at the League Championships.

It is likely teams will be structured in a five player format with a maximum of three reserves allowed.

Telkom currently has six servers live at SGS, the details for which can be found here.

Some gamers have battled to find where in the game they can log onto servers – the way this is done is by going to ‘options’ in the game menu and clicking on the ‘show dedicated servers’ option.

Once that’s enabled a hidden menu item appears in the main menu called ‘servers’. From there you can log on to the server by punching in the IP address of the server(s) at the link above.
