If you’ve been playing Batman: Arkham City on Xbox, you might want to check if your save game is still around – apparently something’s been eating them all up when nobody is looking.
I don’t want to cause a panic or anything, but it looks like Save Game Eater Man is back in Gotham. D:
In a 20-something page thread over on the official forums, users are complaining that their save games are randomly vanishing, with no way to restore them.
In response, Warner Bros is asking that users contact their support team ([email protected]), with the following details:
- What version of the XBOX 360 hardware are you are experiencing the “disappearing save files” issue on?
- What storage method are you using to save your Batman: Arkham City game files to (i.e. XBOX 360 hard drive, XBOX 360 memory unit, USB drive)?
- What version of the XBOX 360 system software do you have on your machine?
- Are you running a Beta version of the forthcoming XBOX 360 “Holiday 2011” system update?
- Have you experienced the “disappearing save files” issue before and/or after installing any Batman: Arkham City DLC content (If yes, please be specific as to the DLC content you have downloaded)?
- Have you experienced the “disappearing save files” issue before and/or after installing either of Batman: Arkham City’s two title updates?
Until that’s resolved then, you might want to stick with Skyrim, which doesn’t eat save games.

How about it just doesn’t eat the PC release date yet again? I swear one more delay and I’m cancelling it and replacing it with AC revelations instead.
