Speaking to attendees at the GDC China conference over the weekend, Microsoft’s Brian Prince said that “really exciting” cloud features are coming to the Xbox 360.

He wouldn’t say when, though, because he’s just a big old tease.

“You will be seeing things in the Xbox platform that’s cloud-specific,” he said. “I’m already doing it, it’s really exciting, but I can’t tell you about it or else I’ll get fired.”

Back in June, speculation had it that Microsoft had already launched or was about to launch cloud storage for Xbox gamertags and save game files after the company announced it was “coming soon” at E3, although that later turned out to be untrue.

The feature is, however, confirmed for launch at some point, most likely in the next dashboard update, due out soon.

According to a report over on Examiner, a total of 512 MB of cloud storage space will be allocated to every Xbox user.
