Dungeon Defenders CTF mode, PC dev kit now available

15 November 2011

Trendy Entertainment has just dropped a free capture-the-flag mode and PC software dev kit for its downloadable tower defence / action RPG game, Dungeon Defenders.

The 16-player CTF mode is technically “pre-alpha pass”, with Trendy calling for players “to submit your feedback and balance suggestions to their forums while playing to help them build out this game mode”.

The dev kit is a toolset for, yes, creating your very own content for Dungeon Defenders, and is “one of the definitive Unreal reference codebases for anyone looking to create their own Unreal games”, according to the promo stuff.

“You could make a brand new FPS, a team-versus-team online MOBA, or a third person Role Playing Game. The possibilities are endless and the existing Dungeon Defenders code base and content will give you a head start.”

Or you could even start something really big and ambitious and never finish it, just like everybody else! 😀
