Parents name child “Dovahkiin”, score free Bethesda games forever

Skyrim Dragonborn

So, remember when Bethesda promised “free games for life” to any parents who had a child on 11/11/11, and named them “Dovahkiin”? Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner.

Introducing Dovahkiin Tom Kellerman, born on that fateful day to Megan and Eric Kellerman.

“The reason being it is an awesome name… and, yes, it comes with a fantastic prize in Bethesda’s baby-naming contest to coincide with the release of Skyrim,” Megan wrote on her blog several days before bearing the great and terrible dragonborn of legend.

“Now, my husband didn’t know of the contest to start with. We conceived long before hearing of it. But it’s been a tough year and I wanted to do something special for my son.”

I’m sure the free games for mom and dad didn’t hurt the deal, but they’re going to have to put up with a good few years yet of little Dovahkiin’s Thu’ums, so I guess it works out.
