Telltale employees caught giving Jurassic Park perfect user reviews

Jurassic Park: The Game

Telltale Games‘ Jurassic Park: The Game only has 3 media reviews up on Metacritic so far, and things are not looking good, with 1UP giving it a D+ and Game Informer awarding it 55/100.

Things are far worse on the User Review front, with the game sitting on an embarrassing 2.9 out of 10 based on 79 ratings.

However, it would seem that many of those negative user reviews are as a result of Telltale being caught out trying to increase the User Review score by posting 4 perfect 10 user scores.

Gamespot noticed last week that 4 perfect 10 user reviews were posted in short succession of each other. Each of the reviews was unusually well written, with correct spelling, grammar and punctuation being taken as “telltale” signs that something fishy was going on. (oh ho ho!)

When asked about the incident, Telltale Games had this to say:

“Telltale Games do not censor or muzzle its employees in what they post on the internet. However, it is being communicated internally that anyone who posts in an industry forum will acknowledge that they are a Telltale employee. In this instance, two people who were proud of the game they worked on, posted positively on Metacritic under recognizable online forum and XBLA account names.”
