In the best news ever, GOG.com has added Crusader: No Regret to its catalogue.
It’s like I died and went to wherever it is all my dreams come true, which means I now also have the complete X-Files Blu-ray collection and an infinite supply of cream soda here somewhere. Oh, happy day!
Experts agree that it’s pretty much the best game ever, having won multiple “Action Game of the Year” awards in 1996. Originally released for PC (MS-DOS) back in August 1995, it went on to blow its way through to the Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and everybody’s nostalgia banks. No Regret is the sequel to Crusader: No Remorse, which was added to the GOG.com catalogue back in June.
The Crusader series was developed by Origin Systems, a developer co-founded by Richard Garriott in 1983, which went on the produce some of the most iconic franchises in gaming, including Ultima, Wing Commander, and System Shock.
In 1992, EA acquired Origin and so began the slow chewing up of the company until it was finally swallowed in 2004, and the brand name vomited up again in 2011 as a digital distribution platform.

Crusader: No Regret is an isometric third-person shooter, somewhat similar to Diablo, that has a renegade Robocop-type supersoldier making his way through a series of sci-fi evil-mega-corporation locations and shotgunning all the secretaries to a techno/rock soundtrack.
It’s so 1990s, it should totally come with an “I’M TOO SEXY FOR THIS VIDEO GAME” T-shirt.
Like all GOG.com titles, Crusader: No Regret is 100% DRM-free, and compatible with Windows XP / Vista / 7.
