Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
Or should I say… “Happy Thanksgibbing“? Because today – TODAY! – is the day the Gears of War 3 Versus Booster map pack DLC launches, and there will be gibs.
So many great, greasy, glistening gibs.
Mmmm, giiiiiiiiiiiiiibs.
Where was I? Oh, yes, the map pack.
The free DLC includes the three maps previously released with the premium Horde Command DLC (minus all the extra goodies and Achievements, obviously), as well as two maps from the original Gears of War – that’s Azura, Rustlung, Blood Drive, Clocktower, and Bullet Marsh for those of you who haven’t been writing this stuff down.
Of course, “free” comes with a bit of a catch – the maps will only be available in public matchmaking playlists. I’m not sure whether or not that also includes Horde matchmaking, but I guess we’ll all find out soon enough.
Expect to see the DLC go live around noon, when Americaland catches up with the sun.
