Activision has today released Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies for iOS. The game is available from the iTunes store, but don’t expect to find it on the local store because Apple hates South Africa and doesn’t want us to play games on our phones*.

The game offers 50 levels of Dead-Ops Arcade, and features Voice Chat enabled multiplayer.

According to Activision the game has been optimized for 3rd-generation devices and higher, and promises “unparalleled performance on a mobile device.”

As an iOS Universal App, the game should operate the same whether played on an iPhone, iPod or iPad. Activision also promises continued post-release support from the developer, including things like upgraded features, more maps and other “special surprises”.

Developed by Ideaworks Game Studios, Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies costs $6.99 (R59).
