Anyone who knows me, or has spoken to me, or has been within a few hundred meters of me or read anything I’ve written knows I am an unashamed Valve fanboy, and take the opportunity to bemoan the lack of Episode 3 at every opportunity where it’s remotely appropriate.

Finally we may have something to talk about, although it isn’t much. A valve employee was spotted outside the mothership wearing a Half-Life 3 T-shirt. Could it be a hint of things to come, or have Valve just accepted their Duke Nukem Forever status and are trolling us.

The sighting was posted on Twitter by Chandana Ekanayake, an employee of Monday Night Combat studio Uber Entertainment, and was taken at a Seattle developer event on Thursday night.

Ekanayake says he did ask permission to take the picture, but the individual wearing the T-shirt was not named.

Valve hasn’t commented on it yet, but I’m sure somewhere in Seattle, a man named Gabe is laughing maniacally.
