Remember Geoff Keighley’s “PS3 exclusive you won’t believe”? It’s apparently got something to do with a major global disaster and ants.
I know, it sounds crazy, but then, we’re not supposed to believe it. It also may or may not be called “The Last of Us”, because that’s the marketing tag line.
A pair of teaser trailers has been released, one showing a montage of quaratine paraphernalia, riots, fires, and other examples of the dismal human condition, and the other showing ants. More specifically, footage from a BBC Planet Earth episode featuring a fungus called cordyceps that kills ants by consuming their brains (via IGN).
So, yes, it’s probably another zombie apocalypse game.
Doubtless all will be revealed at the Spike TV Video Game Awards this weekend, but in the meantime, both videos can be seen over on the game’s official site or below.
