Star Wars: The Old Republic pre-orders get early access

Star Wars: The Old Republic has concluded its beta-test, and is now getting prepared for what EA and BioWare expect to be one of the biggest launches of the year.

The game pulled in over 725,000 unique gamers who logged over 9 million hours of game time during the beta weekend, and evidently things have been bustling as the 20 December launch date looms.

Now BioWare have also revealed that players who pre-order the game will be given early access to it, starting on 13 December 2011.

Yup, you can be the early Wookie who catches the Jubba [MyGaming does not endorse this terrible Star Wars themed bastardisation of a common idiom] and get a seven-day head start on the other sorry sods who waited until launch.

Every purchase of SW:TOR also has 30 days free access to the game – after which normal subscription rates will apply.

Even though there are still no plans for this game to retail locally, you enterprising few who’ve managed to book your place in the MMO in advance can at least still share in the benefits.
