I don’t know how I managed to miss this one last week, but apparently Supergiant Games is putting out its one and only DLC add-on for Bastion on Wednesday, 14 December 2011.

If you’ve got that Chesney Hawkes song stuck in your head now, my work here is already done.

For everybody else then, Stranger’s Dream adds a new Who Knows Where sequence to the game, featuring “a bit more insight into Rucks’ backstory as well as the history of Caelondia if you can survive this fight”.

There’s also a new Score Attack mode that unlocks all the Idols and Spirits from the get-go, and a No-Sweat mode that lets you retry a failed area an unlimited number of times over. Kid reckons that sounds pretty good.

The DLC is totally free on PC (Steam and Google Chrome), although Xbox players will have to choke up 80 MSP because Microsoft insists on this stuff. Even at Christmas time. Jeez…
