Remember when Alan Wake was announced for PC, and demoed on PC, and then the PC version was cancelled and the game was re-announced as an Xbox exclusive, and PC gamers were totally pissed off about it?

Okay, so, funny story… apparently it might be coming to PC after all.

Users over on the official Alan Wake forums have excavated a Steam registry entry for the game, prompting the obvious question, “Why would there be a Steam registry entry for the game if it wasn’t coming to Steam?” It’s just the sort of mystery Alan Wake would love.

Lending further credence to the rumour, Remedy‘s Aki Järvilehto recently told Finnish gaming site YLEX (via JustPushStart) that “We have received feedback from a lot of PC gamers, and I have to admit that yes, we somehow ignored that. Let’s see if in the near future we could have some positive news to tell you about dating!”

And I don’t think he means dating on OkCupid.

Remedy has yet to make any official announcement on the matter.
