Need for Speed World releases $100 DLC car

Most of us get our MyGaming fix on a middle-of-the-range desktop, a humble beast which fills us with pride every time it hits 60fps on medium Battlefield 3 graphics without spontaneously exploding. Maybe you’re lucky enough to be a few rungs above that, with a nice 27inch widescreen monitor and a graphics card that blows more hot air than Peter Molyneux (sorry Peter).

But then there is that other sub-class of people who are reading this on their jewel-encrusted iPad; their 6-monitor display and nitrogen-cooled desktop is a few meters away, but they like the way the sun hits 437 diamonds just so at this time of day.

If you’re one of those people, I have the DLC package for you. Increasingly popular racing MMO Need for Speed World (recently hitting 5 million registered users) has released the first of their “premium elite” downloadable cars, the CCX Elite Edition, for a paltry $100.

If your iPad is only made of solid gold, you can pick up the CCX before January 21st for $75. But if you’re really wanting to show off your status, you’ll want to pick it up late enough to show you paid full price, but early enough that it doesn’t look like you had to save for it.

Well NFS players, are you “elite” enough to pick this up?
