Mass Effect 3 is going to finish up the Shepard arc of all-out war that we’ve been building up to over the past few years – but BioWare know when they’re onto something big, and the Mass Effect brand isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
But according to BioWare creative director, Casey Hudson, finishing up Mass Effect 3 with the big bang fans expect, while also tying up the threads being thrown forward with each predecessor, makes things a bit tough to keep things open enough for future titles.
But they ain’t even mad – because as Hudson puts it, “we’re okay with making it difficult for ourselves, because the most important thing is giving people a great ending.”
“We want to do more stuff with Mass Effect, of course, and I’m sure we will,” he told OXM, “but we’re not really thinking about that right now. We want to make sure we give people the best ending to Mass Effect 3 that we can.”
Mass Effect 3 is due out in March, and we can’t wait to finish up the story we’ve been building over the past 4 years – my Paragon fem-Shep is totes gonna save the universe and bring the galaxy together under the banner of love.
