Watch Gary Oldman reenact “highlights” from Call of Duty: Black Ops

5 January 2012

I’m a big fan of Gary Oldman’s work – The Professional, The Fifth Element, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Immortal Beloved… Call of Duty. Actually, a lot of people probably don’t even know he’s the voice of Russian operative Viktor Reznov, a major character in both Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops, so if you didn’t, now you do.

Anyway, he was recently a guest on the Conan O’Brien show, where he was asked about doing the whole video game thing. Which was a good excuse to start shouting, apparently. Quite loudly, and quite a lot.

On Coco’s show, he recites classic lines from the game, such as “OVER THERE!” and “ON THE REACH!” – and who could forget the timeless “SHOOT!”. We hear he might get an award for that one.

Gary Oldman. He’s a funny man.

If nothing else, the interview segment also provides some neat insight into how those screams we take for granted are actually recorded.
