In their ongoing bid to build global pro gaming teams, Vitriolic Gaming has partnered up with Germany-based Type to buff their StarCraft II roster of professional gamers.
Though UK-based, Vitriolic has quite a presence here in South Africa, with Pieter Venter heading up operations on SA soil – you might recall their push to get BarCraft up and at ’em during the rAge festivities last year.
The partnership with Type means there’s a new pro StarCraft II team (operating under Type.Vitriolic) to take on the tough competition in international tournaments; included in the partnership deal is vTypeReaL, who was the only player to not lose any of the StarCraft II matches on day 1 of TakeTV’s Homestory Cup.
Basically this means good things for Vitriolic, which in turn means good things for eSports development in South Africa and in general.
Here’s the roster of players who Vetriolic describes as an “awesome bunch of players, [with] amazing skill and [who are] most of all hardworking and dedicated”
- Jung “SuN” Sun Woo (Team Captain)
- Jeon “PhoeNix” Young Sik
- Oh “ReaL” Jin Sil
- Thorsten “DBS” Seifert
- “Sugeo” (Manager Type.Vitriolic Japan)
- Daigo “Nemuke” Ozaki
- Nishimura “PSiArc” Naohiro
They join a bunch of SA gamers who are already part of the Vitriolic team.
